The abnormality is present at birth (congenital), but WPW is usually diagnosed in adolescence or early adulthood. If you have WPW syndrome, an extra, abnormal electrical pathway in your heart leads to tachycardia. It may be distressing, but it is rarely life-threatening. PSVT often starts when you are young, but it may also start later in life. PSVT usually occurs in people who are born with an extra electrical circuit or pathway between the atria and the ventricles. This type of tachycardia produces heart rates between 140 and 250 beats per minute. Paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia (PSVT).If it goes on for several days or longer, it may increase your risk of stroke, because blood trapped in the atria can clot and travel from your heart to your brain, causing a stroke. Though not usually life-threatening, the rapid, irregular and uncoordinated beating of the ventricles may cause light-headedness or palpitations. The pattern of electrical activity stimulates the atria randomly and at a high speed, which causes a series of very rapid contractions of the heart's upper chambers, preventing them from pumping effectively. This common form of tachycardia occurs when the electrical activity in the atria is disorganized and very rapid. Atrial flutter is usually not life threatening, but can cause chest pain, faintness or other more serious problems. This electrical signal causes the atria to "flutter," contracting at a much higher rate than normal. In atrial flutter, an extra or early electrical impulse travels around and around the atria in a circular path rather than down along its normal path. These are rapid heartbeats in the atria (the top chambers of your heart) or in the AV (atrioventricular) node – the electrical connection between the atria and the ventricles (the lower chambers of your heart). Tachycardia above a ventricle (supraventricular). There are two main types: Tachycardia above a ventricle and Tachycardia in a ventricle. Tachycardia occurs when your heart beats too fast. The heart's electrical system normally sends signals from the upper chambers of the heart (atria) to the lower chambers (ventricles) in a pattern that causes a heartbeat, a coordinated contraction of the heart muscle. This is the slowing down or interruption of the electrical signal to the lower chambers of the heart which cause the heart muscle to contract. It can be treated with medication or with an electronic pacemaker. The resulting arrhythmia may be temporary or permanent. Some medications can also cause or aggravate a slow heartbeat. ![]() This condition may be caused by growing older or by disease. This is a malfunction in the heart's natural pacemaker (the sinus node), which makes it fire too slowly. An electronic pacemaker can help the heart to beat normally. Untreated bradycardia can cause excessive tiredness, dizziness, light-headedness or fainting. They include bradycardia and tachycardia, with a variety of conditions under those two categories.īradycardia occurs when your heart beats so slowly that it cannot pump enough blood for your body's needs. Arrhythmias are defined by the speed of the heartbeats: slow and fast.

I don't think there's too much here lyrically to analyze, but if I had to have a problem with Usher's song, it's that perhaps he isn't respecting this woman's "no." If she's the one who broke up with him, and he's following her to her home and waiting on the doorstep, is that really romantic? The big question: Do you think that in "Crash" Usher is an overly clingy boyfriend or do you agree with what he's doing?ĭeeper thoughts.and questions about healthy relationships.Do you think "Crash" is about a healthy relationship or is it possible to tell?. ![]() My questions for the song meaning community: In this bridge, Usher is explaining to her that she's the "only one for him" and that nobody else is good enough. The bridge of "Crash" is simply Usher repeating two lines a few times: "I'm not thinking 'bout nobody else but you / You're the only one who takes me there." And with these lines, the song truly has become about trying to convince her to come back. He sings, "eed you to know." And while there may be a "fight" as a result of his clinginess, he says that it's "worth" it "if I get back home." He tells her, "Hope you don't mind if I waited / Would you mind if I wait right here?" She hasn't shown up yet, and he's planning to stay there until she does appear. With these lines, the songs seems to have arced from being about him trying to get over it to him trying to convince her to come back to him. He's been "p all night" and "can't let go." He explains that he "on't stop trying." He really wants her to know how much he still loves her. In the second verse of "Crash," Usher gives more details about his midnight drive. He sings that he "really, really love you." He's still "only yours / Even if it don't last forever, I wanna let you know." He explains that they "really had something special" and that "it's hard tryna let it go." He finishes the pre-chorus by singing, "I'm just being honest, I'm still in the moment." He's reeling from the emotional pain and is trying to explain what he is feeling to her Verse 2 Here, Usher continues to explain how in love he is wither her. " He plans to wait for her so he can see her one last time. Even still, he wants to know if she would "mind if I waited right here. He made it to her house to talk to her again, and she wasn't there. He explains that he "rove all night, just to beat you home." Apparently, they broke up the day before and live far from each other. He sings, "Morning light, I'm at your door / One last time, and no one's there / Nobody, nobody, nobody, no." In an almost stalkerish way, he's trying to see her again just once more. In the first verse of "Crash," Usher begins telling a story about how he's trying to see her again. They were emotionally involved, and he doesn't feel like letting go yet. The next two lines seem to support this idea: "Would you mind if I hold onto / You so that I won't crash?" He needs to love her so that he doesn't fall apart. He continues by asking, "Would you mid if things don't last?" This could be a reference to him having been the one to break up with her, but I think he's just mentioning that he only needs to "love her" for a little while longer to help him come to grips with the reality of the breakup. He still has feelings for her and wants her to know it. In it, he sings, "Would you mind if I still loved you?" He and his ex have just gone through a painful breakup, and he wants her to know that he's still in love with her. ![]() ![]() ![]() Usher starts the song with a chorus up front. It sounds perfect for dancing, and I can't stop pressing the "play" button as soon as it finishes. I guess for an artist as famous and tried-and-true as Usher (who released "OMG" and "Yeah!), "Crash" being really good is no surprise. He just released "Crash" as a single from his upcoming album Flawed, and I'm sure we have a bit more of this smooth, R&B sweet-talking coming our way. I know there's not much in it as far as lyrical depth goes (there's not supposed to be), but the music is super fun. Listening to this song has been a weird experience for me. SONG MEANING: "Crash" by Usher is about an ended relationship that Usher wishes would continue on. Warren Jeffs is believed to have more than 60 wives, some as young as 12. He said he was born three months premature and believed he was “special” as a result. Krakauer said even Jeffs was brainwashed as a child. Prophet’s Prey portrays a culture of child labour, rape and misogyny.īerg said “manipulation and brainwashing starts at a very young age” in America’s largest polygamous community. Polygamy is not the only crime being committed by the church. “Literally, in this religion, women are like animals, they’re treated so badly,” Krakauer said. He said Brigham Young, one of the church’s leaders, had “70 or 80 wives” and that wives equalled power. “This is (the religion’s) most holy principle and so they broke away from the mainstream church.” “The fundamentalists, the true believers, said ‘bullsh*t, what the f***’,” he said. In an interview ahead of the Sundance Film Festival where the documentary was premiering, Krakauer said polygamy was “everywhere” in Utah in the 1800s but the government soon tried to ban it. Having previously written about fundamentalist Mormonism, he explains how the FLDS came to hold such strong beliefs about women and enabled people like Jeffs to demand multiple brides. Polygamist Warren Jeffs is behind bars but his cult is as powerful as ever.Īuthor John Krakauer features heavily in the documentary. He said the FLDS community were “more insidious” than the mafia with one subtle but important difference. “It literally took years, baby steps, little bits at a time, getting to know somebody and then them having a brother or some other contact that would slowly begin talking to me. “The community itself is very distrustful, very isolated, very insular,” he said. ![]() In an interview in 2011 he explained how he first gained the church’s trust. In his book, Prophet’s Prey - the same title used in the new documentary by director Amy Berg - Brower recounts how, over seven years, he witnessed horrendous crimes under the veil of religion. “Most people think of them as a church, but I think of them as an organised crime syndicate,” he said. Outside his jail cell there are 10,000 loyal followers waiting for his release, convinced he is their saviour.īrower told an audience in 2013 that he believed Jeffs was the leader of more than a church. He was additionally charged with incest and sexual conduct with minors.įour years after he was put behind bars, a new documentary reveals the church continues to operate without him. When he was tracked down he had with him 16 mobile phones, three wigs and one of his wives.īrower’s evidence led to Jeffs’ conviction and a 20-year sentence for child sexual assault. He was briefly a fugitive and briefly owned second position on the FBI’s most wanted list. Jeffs would eventually answer for his crimes, despite trying to run. “Kidnapping, tax fraud, child molestation, human trafficking, blackmail,” Brower said. Sam Brower, a private investigator who got close enough to Jeffs to write a book about what he witnessed, said the 59-year-old was “committing the most vile crimes imaginable”. Inside the walls of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (FLDS, not to be confused with the LDS which outlawed polygamy in 1890), Jeffs was preaching love and patience and the word of God. For years, Jeffs, a fundamentalist Mormon, was accruing wives - some as young as 12 years old - and forming a cult like no other. He wasn’t disturbing anybody, he didn’t appear to outsiders to be doing anything wrong.Ī closer look revealed the opposite. IN the hills between Utah and Colorado City, a man named Warren Jeffs was going about his business quietly. ![]() Bybrand on Google Workspace Marketplace.Administrator dashboard in Google Workspace. To help you, we have this quick video tutorial covering every step. Release and reception Professional ratings Review scores The album cover, photographed by Barry Feinstein in Los Angeles, shows Joplin reclining on her Victorian era loveseat with a drink in her hand. Her final session, which took place on Thursday, October 1 after a break of several days, yielded her a cappella "Mercedes Benz." It was the last song she recorded before her death. The recording sessions, starting in early September, ended with Joplin's untimely death on October 4, 1970. He later sang the song with Joplin’s former band Big Brother and the Holding Company for their 1971 album How Hard It Is. The song's writer Nick Gravenites was offered the opportunity to sing it as a tribute to Joplin, but he turned it down, so the song ended up as an instrumental. Joplin sang on all tracks except "Buried Alive in the Blues", which was actually a backing track in which she had not yet recorded vocals. Pearl features the #1 hit " Me and Bobby McGee", on which she played acoustic guitar, written by Kris Kristofferson and Fred Foster "Trust Me", by Bobby Womack, written for Joplin Howard Tate's "Get It While You Can", showcasing her vocal range and the original songs "Move Over" and "Mercedes Benz", the latter co-written by Joplin, Bobby Neuwirth, and Michael McClure. They also played many American cities, both before and after Festival Express, although no recordings of those concerts have been officially released.Īll nine tracks that she sings on were personally approved and arranged by Joplin. The band also appeared twice on The Dick Cavett Show. Many of the songs on this album were recorded on the concert stage in Canada two months before Joplin and the band started their Los Angeles recording sessions. The Full Tilt Boogie Band were the musicians who accompanied her on the Festival Express, a concert tour by train of Canada, in the summer of 1970. They used Sunset Sound Recorders in Los Angeles. Together they were able to craft an album that showcased her extraordinary vocal talents. Rothchild was best-known as the recording studio producer of The Doors, and worked well with Joplin, calling her a producer's dream. The album has a more polished feel than the albums she recorded with Big Brother and the Holding Company and the Kozmic Blues Band due to the expertise of producer Paul A. It has been certified quadruple platinum by the RIAA. It peaked at number one on the Billboard 200, holding that spot for nine weeks. It was the final album with her direct participation, and the only Joplin album recorded with the Full Tilt Boogie Band, her final touring unit. Pearl is the second and final solo album (and fourth album overall) by Janis Joplin, released on January 11, 1971, three months after her death on October 4, 1970. ![]() Unity provided support for Facebook's gaming platforms, and Unity developers could more quickly export and publish games to Facebook.
